I think this election is something important that I have participated into. If you managed to vote then it is one of the most important events in history of the Philippines that people must participated into.

I'm from the Philippines. I think I would have helped the first batch of friars who came here back in the 16th century in documenting how the people were in those times. I would have helped them make it more accurate and preserve anything so that the Filipinos wouldn't be stumbling around looking for an identity that they can call their own.

I will not say that I participated actively in any big historical event of my country. But yes, I got to see two or three big events, that will surely take their place in the history books in future.
One is the Kargil war. Another one is the Gujrat earthquake. Then comes the big episode about the Tsunami where lakhs of people accross India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma got afected.
I can only say that I witnessed the heavy destructions that went on through these episodes. I saw the support of the people in our country, who forgot all disputes about cast, creed, religion, and just got united to help and fight for peace and relief.
