Mercy Killing: For or Against ?

Would like to know your view about mercy killing , should it be legalised.Do we have a right to opt for death when living is no more a favorable choice.

I am pro-euthanasia. I for one do not advocate the suffering of a human being kept alive by chemical or mechanical means for the purpose of just being kept alive. Quality of life is important to me and whilst I hope never to have to make the decision on behalf of another human being, I have no problem leaving this world rather than being in a vegetative state.
