Car Wrecks!

I remember when I wrecked my brand-new, 2002 Honda Civic, EX coupe. It was less than six months old and I was so depressed because I loved that car.
Essentially, I hit an S-curve going too fast and hit a patch of sand on the road. I lost control when the car under-steered and I overcorrected the other way. I smacked head-on into a dirt embankment going almost 70 MPH.
It took me a long time to build up courage and comfort behind the wheel again.
What car accidents have you had? How have they affected you? Your driving? Did you lose a vehicle you really liked? How did the insurance company handle your claim?

I had a Saturn. I was driving it, and all of a sudden I was crashed in the woods. I got out of my car, and realized that my wheel had snapped off of the axel, and was bouncing down the road. The insurance company deemed it an act of god. I was pissed because it was my first some what new car, and I had only had it for a month. however, I still had my old 1987 chevy blazer, which I was planning on selling since I had gotten my new car. So, I ended up driving that car for 3 years after that.
