wen in rome be like a roman....why did people always take rome as an example for all the sayings?????another very common rome sayinf is all roads lead to rome........do u have any more????pls add here...aand also remember to add ur reason for rome being so famous!!!!!

Another one is 'ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY' People usually say that when they are working on a project or doing a job that takes time. Rome is so famous because of the extent of the Roan Empire. Remember Rome was just a city NOT a country and they conquered a very big portion of the world.

I think the saying about when in Rome, do as the Romans do is a universal good idea, it simply means leave your cultural baggage at home and blend in. I think it developed fact that the Roman empire at one point spanned the known world
