'Here is a glass of water'. Lets suppose that there is some sediment at the bottom, If you stir the contents, the water will become dirty. Suppose we have a man and wife who lead a cat and dog existence. Each insists that the other is to blame. But no matter how hard you stir, if there is no sediment the water will remain clean. People often fail to notice the sediment(in their own lives) and simply accuse others of stirring up the water. In other words, they are not aware that the cause of their unhappiness lies within themselves and are merley experiencing the effects of that cause after it has been activated by someone else.' 'Human life exists in isolation from environment. Every activity of life occurs as the result of some external stimulus. At the same time, the true csuse is the inherent cause within the human being. To give a very simple example, if someone hits you and you hit them back, the first blow is the stimulus to the second, but it isn't the ultimate cause. You can maintain that you hit the person because he hit you, but in fact you hit him because you are you. The real cause was inside you, ready to be activated by the external cause.' What do you think?
