When i bought new computer almost 3 year back i used internal modem having dial up connection of speed 48 kbps after that i
usedd to start mobile as my modem and getting speed 144kbps.

that sucks for you. I had AOL for 8 years and in the summer of 2006 my dad (i'm 13) got cable one (a cable company in Fargo ND) highspeed wireless modemf or our new laptop. it goes 54 mbps, that's the fastest wifi goes. I have really fast internet now, if i'm right it's like 1000 times faster than our old internet connection.

i hav broad-band....wireless!!
n the speed keepz changing between 24-54 Mbps.....!! i like it as its really fast...and all ma work gets done fast :)

i have an internal 56k d-link modem, an external 56k d-link modem and a prolink h9200 broadband modem

My current computer has a Conexant D859 56K V.9x DFVc modem. It has served me well and soon I will have my new computer hooked up and I am sure it will serve me just as well since both have come from Dell. Dial up affects my speed but it is nice to know the rate at which it is capable.
