the star represents your standing or rating here in mylot. it tells you what your exact rating is. it shows your credibility as a mylot user. the number in the star is from one being the lowest and ten as the highest. i am striving to get my star soon. could anyone help give me that? hehe

As stated before, you must have responded at least one hundred times. Depending on how much time you have, you can do that in a day or two.

In the little experience i have so far,the rating is given after your responses reach a 100. Like lordwarwizard has mentioned already, the rating will be anywhere between 1 and 10 with 10 being the highest and 1 the least. When you post a response to a discussion, other mylotians will rate your response either positively or negatively and this rating will affect your rating. Also when you start a discussion(like this one for example),mylotians can rate it also. The secret is posting quality responses AND discussions and avoiding one liner responses, try also to avoid yes or no answers. Good luck and a 5 star is not bad at ALL....

The start is your myLot reputation. If you respond 30-40 times a day, your rating will go up by 1-2(not 1-2 starts, but just the rate will go up by 1-2. Now I had 9 stars and when I reduced my postings, now I am at 8 stars as you can see and if I keep going like that, my star will go down to seven.

Um... I don't think this is true. It is not so much the number of post you make but the quality of post you make. I know people who barely make 10 posts a day and still maintain a rating of 10.

I confirm what the other members had said that the star represents your reputation. If you move your cursor to your star, it will reveal your rating (e.g. 53/100). I understand that the star rating is not permanent and if you keep posting quality responses, it may even show a star 9 or 10. Conversely, if you receive a lot of negative ratings by other myLot members, the star rating may even drop to 1. The star rating can also affect your earning rate in myLot. Hope all of us can continue to post quality discussions, content and/or responses. Best wishes and have fun.

It's just a rating. The lowest is 1 and the highest is 10, so you are somewhere in between. But don't worry too much on this count, if you post more quality post, the rating will climb very quickly. ;-)

The star is based on the number of positive responses you had marked on your discussions. All throughout the posting you will notice you can mark plus, minus or flag the posting. These are totaled up and some how adjusted for your number.
