The secret strength of the presidential campaign of Democrat Dennis Kucinich is this:Dennis Kucinich cares less about winning the campaign than he does about staying true to his progressive ideals. Is that enough to carry Dennis Kucinich through to victory? Conventional wisdom from Washington D.C. insiders says that Dennis Kucinich doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell. again, just four years ago, conventional wisdom from Washington D.C. insiders said that Saddam Hussein had massive stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction, ready to destroy the world. So maybe, then, Dennis Kucinich really has a chance. What do you think? Does Dennis Kucinich have a chance to become President of the United States in 2008? Would you vote for him? I think a Kucinich victory is unlikely, People in this country don't vote with their minds. I would be thrilled to think that he had a chance though, it has been so long since our political environment has produced a candidate who might actually do something for the people of this country instead of just supporting corporate interests. One of the main problems with Kucinich is that he doesn't get much press. He talks about actual issues instead of soundbites so he might not hold much mass attention. What he might be able to do is create an environment where the news media have to talk about actual issues instead of how much money someone's campaign has raised. It's too bad the Hillary seems to be so much into the corporate pocket. Of course she lost my support back in Bill's first term with the health care cluster f**k that tried to keep insurance companies in the loop. I would certainly vote for him if he showed up on the ballot. If not Kucinich then Al Gore has been looking more like a statesman lately.
