Do you think dating sites and matrimonial sides are helpful

I met my partner through a dating chat room and although I was very skeptical at first, we chatted and got to know each other on line for about 3 months before we made the decision to meet up. I had seen his web cam and he had seen my pictures, and we have had so many long and interesting chats that we felt like old friends when we met. Three years down the line we are living together and very happy.

I myself have never tried them - I have a partner that I am very happy with. I do know some people that have met their partners this way. To me it har all the advantages of an arranged relationship as well as love based relationships. Instead of having your parents set it up you turn to a dating site. You find people that you are compatible with on paper. It makes things a lot easier i believe. if people are honest in their presentations of themselves you can choose who to date in real life based on a lot more data then you normally would. I'd say it is a great thing.
