Why do Christians assume that?

That human beings would ***, pillage and murder if they are not restricted by a belief in a God? Can we not be decent human beings just for our own Karma? I asked a question about what the world would be like if there was no religion and people came back saying that all sorts of terrible deeds would be committed. I respect people and try to leave the world a slightly better place than I found it, where possible. I do this out of compassion for my fellow humans, I believe we are One race - The human race. All of us flowers that need nurturing in order to bloom, not out of fear of any after life, or guidence from any organised religion.

That is a really big generalisation - not one that is true either! I am a Christian and I do not believe that you have to believe in god to be good and that if you do not believe then you are evil and I find it offensive to be branded as thinking that way! As a Christian I try to be tolerant and accept and support people from any religion, race and colour and as for one race that is one of my biggest beliefs! I think you should do a bit more research before you brand a whole section of people of being bigoted! I am sorry if I sound as though I am ranting but I am actually feeling quite upset about this, i take people as I find them and respect their beliefs and culture as well as their opinion! you are entitled to your opinion of Christians - all I am asking is why do you assume that all christians are like that?
