Do men really notice...

or care if we shave our legs or not? American society looks down on women who don't shave, and growing up in this culture makes it an accepted practice. But it never seems to matter to my husband if I shave or not. I shave my legs frequently but he never comments so I even wonder if he notices or cares if I shave or not. Personally, I feel better if I shave, especially my underarms, which I shave everyday, it makes me feel cleaner. But if men don't care if we shave our legs or not, why do we bother? I think unshaved legs look terrible, but is that because I have grown up in a society that says it's normal? I know in other countries and cultures they don't shave, so why do we?

When a girl is wearing a skirt or dress or shorts, You bet I notice. I think fresh shaved legs are sexy, especially when wearing nylons.

Maybe that's the problem, I need to wear nylons more often. LOL I can't imagine hairy legs being very appealing though. I know I don't like it when mine are.

You know, I have wondered the same thing. My husband works out of town so I will shave my legs on Sunday morning before church. That is during the winter. In the summer time I ususlly shave every other day if I wear shorts. I also feel cleaner if I shave my legs and armpits. I hate to look down and see my legs all hairy. I feel prettier if my legs are smooth and hairless. I know some women that shave all over. Now that I could not do.

I wouldn't want to shave all over, what a hassle! But I do shave my legs every few days at least in the winter, mostly because I get really dry skin on my legs if I don't. In the summer I shave more often. Call me vain, but I don't like looking at my legs if they are hairy either.

yes i do notice whether my partners legs back arms are clean from hair which give a masculine look. I love to see her free from the extra hair and feel her skin smooth.

Hello dear ! It is funny that searching for sexy legs I stumbled on your 6 years old discussion and you raise an interesting topic of conversation. I for one do appreciate when my girlfriend shaves her legs when she visits me, and do agree that it looks better if she does it if she is going to wear a short skirt, but I do not expect her to do it every time it grows a little, especially in the cold weather when I am the only one who gets to see it.

I've learned over time, that shaving one's legs in the winter is just as important, it helps to remove dry skin and keeps the skin smooth. So I shave just as much in the winter, because that is when skin tends to get dry. Thanks for responding. :)

You are not doing it for your husband but for yourself I hope. Besides do you really want to get caught off guard when he wants to have a little get together and your legs are just like national forest. I do not know about American men but Russian men notice any imperfection women have and comment on it. When I was growing up a guy saw a little long hair on my best friends leg when we were on a beach together and he just told her that she needs to shave it off. It was ambarassing for her. So yes ladies, guys see everything.
