And it left me wanting more!! I was actually crying at the end. I loved that Roran and Eragon put aside their differences and called each other brother.
I have to admit the story line reminded me a lot of the Star Wars movies. In fact, that is how I described the books to my hubby as was reading them... "Luke just found out that..." He understood what I was talking about, even though the stories are different. LOL!
I started reading the acknowledgements at the end. Did you know that Poalini was only 15 when he wrote Eragon? 21 when he wrote Eldest? A very talented young man, and many Kudos to him!!! I hope that he has a successful career, as his writing is very adicting. :)

I'm waiting on the next book too :) I really hope it is out soon, but at least I'll have a chance to reread the first 2 before it comes out.
The movie was good as well...but obviously nowhere as good as the book (when are they ever?) and now my boyfriend wants to read the books.
I wish I was as good a writer as he was when I was only 16!

I loved writing when I was 16. Just nothing as enthralling as these books! I hope your BF finds them as enjoyable as I did!! :)

I have got to finish that book! I finished eragon a while back ago and I probably should reread it.
I just saw the movie they made. I liked it but throughout the movie, I would say that happened differently. I liked the movie but I always hate how they change and leave out good parts that are in the book.
Poalini, is a talented writer, too bad I'm not a more dedicated reader. But I'm sure I'll get the book finished!

Have you finished it yet?? LOL!!I was really disappointed in the movie. Even if I wasn't comparing it to the book, it wasn't what it could have been. I think they needed to allow another 1/2 hour at least to the story, and give the characters time to bond. I felt they just bounced from scene to scene. Where were the dwarves? I think they did an awful job at setting themselves up for a 2nd movie!

My 13 year old is reading Eldest now... she's about 1/2 way through. She finished Eragon very quickly, so I'm sure she'll be done with this one pretty soon.
Is there another one after this one? If so, do you know when it will be out? I know she'll be asking me! lol!

Yes, there is one more. I'm not sure exactly when it's due out. I hope it's soon. I don't think I can wait that much longer!! :)
I hope your daughter is enjoying it as much as I did. Such a powerful story.
