Sour cream sure can make a difference in the moistness. My family has a fantastic recipe for "Alice's Pound Cake" (my Aunt Alice) that contains sour cream. It's the best tasting pound cake we've ever eaten. We always have someone make it when we get together, which we'll be doing again on Easter weekend.

I never heard of sour cream in cupcakes or any kind of
dessert or party. That would be interesting to try and
see how it tastes. I like when the cupcakes or cake is
moist. I wonder who came up with that idea about the sour
cream and adding it to the dough for cupcakes.

Several of my favourite muffin/loaf recipes call for sour cream, it seems to make them nice and moist. One is a banana bread, and one was blueberry muffins I believe... What kind of cupcakes did you make? I bet chocolate cupcakes with sour cream in the recipe would be just divine...

Sounds really good. I've done muffins before with sour cream, especially corn muffins, and they are very moist. Also, a little tangy, which is very pleasant.
I'm sure you'll be at 500 soon. Good luck!

Yes, I have done it many times. It is very good with sour cream. Thanks for telling everyone this. You can also do it in coffee cake with walnuts. Very good.
