why cant adults understand teenagers??

there are some adults that understand teens. it is hard though for them to believe that. it is hard for some adults to believe it too though. some adults remember back when they were younger and just dont relize that they went through alot of the same stuff just in different ways. some didnt go through the stuff and dont understand how it feels. some want to forget they went through it too. soem dont want to admit it. i have a 12 year old and she will do something that i know is dumb and i ask why did you do that you know better. i get mad at her maybe ground her. but then i talk to my husband and we think back at some things we did and relize we did it to we thought like that too. cant get mad its the age but if she will listen maybe we can help her understand better. the problem is getting her to listen. i was no angel teen trust me. i see things teens do and think dang if they only knew. but you cant know til you are older or till you have been through it etc. so therefore we as adults have to think back and remember so that we can relate and be more open so that we can try to bridge that gap. teens today have alot more choices then most adults did. they have alot more issues. they learn stuff that they should not learn yet. i was one of those teens. just keep in mind parents jsut want you to be better then them and not make the mistakes they did so therefore they try to stop it and think you should know better and dont think about hey they didnt know.
