Ok, so i live in a basement apartment, and the windows are those kind that are dug out, half underground sort of. There is a cat in the neighbourhood who keeps SPRaying on MY WINDOW. It's the bedroom window too! so every morning i wake up to that DISGUSTING SMELL! i go out, wash teh window and pour cleaner all around the window and the cat continues to come back. any suggestions on how to make it GO AWAY!?

Can I suggest that you spray the area with cirtus oil, cats don't like orange or lemon very much and it can often keep them away. I have some citronella oil that I use in lamps to keep bugs away and it seems to work equally well keeping cats off certain areas.

Poor Sissygrl, that's disgusting! I hate that icky yucky smell. I'm allergic to cats, but a friend of mine had a cat that sprayed. Until she got him fixed she would spray areas he normally went to spray with lemon scented Mr.Clean. He didn't like the smell and would go spray somewhere else lol. Good thing she got him fixed shortly after he started spraying otherwise her whole apartment would have stunk.

That's a really good solution to keep that cat away, there's nothing uglier than that smell.

You could try spraying him from a squirt bottle if you catch him in the act. I advise against the mothballs, though. They look like candy to young children and may be harmful if swallowed.

OMG, I have that same problem!! I have to wash the window almost daily so I can open it a bit to let the air in. I've caught him in the act and scared him away for about a week at a time but he still comes back. I might try that citrus spay as suggested by another member....somethings gutta stop this CAT!!

Cats do not like moth balls, so buy a box of moth balls and put them in the window and arond the window on the ground to keep him away.

There is stuff you can buy from the hardware store or plant nursery or pet shop that keeps thm away. Or you could try smaering some oil with pepper on it over the area. Good luck...that's nasty.....eeeewww!
