I do Kempo Karate and Ju jitsu I just started but I am getting my yellow belt grading in both very very soon.. Anyways I think martial arts is important , as well as fun its a stress reliever most importantly and can help against attackers and such I recommend it for all to learn :)

Thats a very good point i mean i have been studying shotokan karate for a bout 7years now n have done some basic training in a lot of other martial arts...My life would have been completely different without martial arts especially socially I'm so much more disciplined than most my friends. I mean I'm the only one who has been trained to fight most of my life n I'm then one who stops most of them lol

It is very very important to learn martial arts. Why? It will help you discipline yourself, build confidence and courage, and to improve one's spirituality as well. Martial arts does not only encompass the physical but also the mental and spiritual realms.

I think they add a lot to our lives.
They give you a calmness in stressful situations.
They keep you fit.
They help train you to remember patterns and techniques, but also to think, and react regardless of the circumstance.
They also give you a sense of history, and a culture that you might not experenice otherwise.
