She's a really cute dog, but she's a puppy! I have a baby and now a puppy. It's like having two babies! This kind of sucks. I like the dog, but she's so little and poops everywhere and yelps at night and likes to jump and nibble on stuff. I'm home all day, so I'm the one who's going to have to train her and clean up after her. Anyone have any tips for me on how to train her.

I highly recommend buying a crate and crate training your new puppy.
You mention you also have a baby, and while it's wonderful that your baby and your puppy will grow up together, your puppy will need a place to escape from your toddler until he/she learns limits.
It also creates a den instinct in dogs, they like to have quiet place all their own that smells like them, as it's comforting, and a wonderful place to put puppies for naptime and bedtime and timeouts. There are ton's of resources on how to crate train step-by-step if you do a search.
As for the nipping and jumping, stop her in the act, but firmly pushing her to the ground (when jumping) or firmly grabbing her muzzle when nipping and using a stern tone, try growling at her. It sounds silly, but using the word 'No' is something she'll hear on average 30 or more times per day for instances that have nothing to do with her or what she's doing, so she'll desensitize herself to it. Growling is something that happens only when you're mad and disappointed in her behavior. Trust me, it works!

Thanks, you have some really great tips. I'll have to try that growling thing. If it doesn't work, it'll atleast give my husband and I a laugh everytime we do it.

A lot of times the place where you got the puppy can hook you up with tips, or even classes, for training. We never got my dog trained real well, but we did get him to sit, stay and be quiet, that was about it. We did it basically buy the whole "reward" method and gave him a doggie treat when he did as told.
Just be patient! It will take longer to train a dog then it will to train a baby!
