I was listening to a local radio show last night and the d.j asked the public to e-mail or phone in their ideas on how to make this world a better place for the next generation.
A lot of people came up with some good ideas for example; one person stated they would make every politician responsible for all promises they make and if they break them, they would be fined one months salary, that money would be used to fund social programs!
Every one, what would you do to contribute or create a better future for your children and your childrens children if you had the resources, powers, influing, etc. and how would you do it? Inquiring minds would like to know and hey, you never know what may come out of it. Might get the ball rolling or support someone elses current cause.
Me, Myself, personally? I would elect to take a little bit of money from every single person in Canada via the tax refund, lets say $2 per person, per household. That money would go into a "pot" or fund to help one of the world causes i.e. Global warming funding, world hunger, school scholorships awards and/or bursaries, victims or crime, lunch programs at schools, scholorshp awards and/or bursaries for single moms or people living below the poverty line.
Think about it, almost 30 million people live in Canada, mutilply that by 2, and you get almost 60 million dollars a year to help those in need or our Environment!!!
I would also help to fund research and production or 0-low emmissions cars as we all know cars add a lot to global warming and people sure as hell won't give them up as the car (in my opinion) is no longer a luxury but almost a necessity as we lead busier and busier lives.
Feel free to share your thoughts.
