Do you make $500+ a month online - and how do you do it?

My bare bones budget is $766.77 for living expenses. Any tips on how to get me earning $500 or more per month is appreciated. Associated Content is part of my scheme and I've made $5.02 already and have three more articles in the queue. If I were dedicated with it, it could really be a significant part of my budget. I have many things compiled in my continuing project to find legitimate online earning and want to know what others think about how you would generate $500 a month (and NO, please don't tell me about Agloco or SlashmySearch or I will scream! it hasn't paid out yet, they are startups). I've cut back clients from work who were incompatible with my working style - who were causing me extreme stress and compromising my wellbeing... so this is going to cut a 30 hour a week down to about 16-20 hours (of HAPPY work that I enjoy doing). I can substitute till I land clients that are better matches and can do "Get Paid To Try" offers to plug $$ gaps, but I really want to start thinking about other options. I give up so much time, spend so much time driving, spend so much on gas.... it's like "paying for the privilege of working", when my costs wouldn't be so high if I didn't need to drive to work (15% of budget is car expense and that's not including repairs). The search for freeing myself from the "rat race" continues....

I'm not sure about $500 per month - I'm still only earning pennies but perhaps I do something wrong..worth having a look at http://www.clixsense.com/?2085645 may be of interest to you?

Not sure - only recently started it but seems quite good - doesn't take up too much time and usually do it while I'm at work - all the extra pennies help and mount up by end of month..also get paid on referrals..

I don't know how to do that. Maybe data entry jobs out in the world or online. If you are typing all day anyway for money does it matter so much where? Also, maybe learn some web page skills. Whatever. Might lead to better work then. Maybe take a loan for 4 moths expenses then learn as much as you can, then find work.

What kind of work are you doing that has clients and what can you do. That could help me to think of something to suggest. I too am working on getting some freelance work started. So I wish you luck as you adjust your life and you wish me luck adjusting mine. There are those the work from home and we both shall find them and in turn develop those things that work for us.

Caregiving -- taking care of the elderly and disabled. I do wish you lots of luck and I know together we are doing to dream up something great!

To answer my question what can I do, I am starting not to enjoy caregiving as much ...I am sensitive and people's mood swings and criticisms get on my nerves. I would prefer to sit on the computer rather than deal with people. People have idiosyncracies and foibles but they don't accept mine. Except for illegal operation errors on the computer I can predict much of the computer related things. I am studying for medical transcription, which will take 6 months to complete. I type fast, can write and spell, am getting an awareness of how to effectively promote web programs (IE...through profile links not traffic exchanges). I am determined and succeed when others don't.

I see that you made extra income in Associated Content, that's good for you. I knew some other site that works the same as associated content. They also requires blogging, making comments on products or making a review. You can try going to PayPerPost, Blogvertiser, Epinions and other sites. I guarantee you taht they pay you well. try to search the sites I given to you and you may find its URL. Good luck to your venture online.

I am acquainted with those blogging programs except Epinions. Thank you for epinions. I will go check it out. I did start a blog and website for doing paid posts. It isn't old enough yet to qualify but there will be a time when it is :-).

If you know how to promote I can help you get started for free at the site I work at.It is a free to join program. So if you think you can get people to buy programs like "Type at Home" and "Paid Surveys" you can make 70% commission on sales. The free to join link is the first banner on my web. There is also another way.I get free candles from a site by referring people.I get 50 cents on each referral.I sell the candles I get for free. This is also on my site and is free to join.

I love candles. Is there actually a market for that? I don't think I could sell them to the neighbors that I live in close proximity to.

drknlvly... glad to know something was helpful. I have many more things than are on that beginning of a website but am struggling for a way to organize right now. I have too much for the template and am looking toward either a web database or ebooks possibly to achieve the goal.

Hi dancia2007, Recently, I posted a similar discusion on "Legitimate Money Making Websites". One of the members recommended me a site called Day Tipper. In that site, you can submit your tips and if they are accepted for publishing online, you will be paid via PayPal or cheque for US$3 per tip. If you submit 6 original quality tips per day for 30 days in a month, you will earn US$540 per month ! Hope this will help you to defray your living expenses. Best regards, wealth168

Thank you for your tip. Daytipper is a good site. I've submitted one tip so far. It was turned down, but I have high hopes. I do have a list of ideas for tips that I generated. I need to stop spending so much time compiling legit sites and now actually work some of them.... lol. Anyway, thanks for bringing it everyone's attention.

Where there's a will, there's a way. I set my eyes on goals others call impossible. I say it is NOT impossible because people spend money on the Internet.. for convenience sake.. and it goes somewhere. Now, the outgrowth of scams is because people had IDEAS. They were able to make money toward them by playing on people's hopes, dreams, and gullibility. Now, what if a group of people had POSITIVE ideas? What could we accomplish if web surfers put positive ideas to use on the web?

You have good plans of 'getting out of the rat race'. I wish you success. But I myself am also searching for some online income. Think getting a decent website is good. Online income is all about traffic. Start by trying to build a website with lots of traffic. Mylot is surviving on traffic too.

You have a good point about traffic and I am just starting to see how I can use each site to promote something I am doing at another site. Profile links seem to be great for getting website traffic.

Using sites like http://www.treasuretrooper.com/86785 and the ones on my website: http://www.geocities.com/shesbaldnow have helped me earn up to a couple hundred dollars a month. I am still on the lookout for more opportunities and one day I'd like to earn at least $500 a month. Hopefully we can both get there at some point. Good luck :)

Great work! I have added your website to my list of awesome blogs and websites that promote only legitimate programs. From the research I've done, I know that TreasureTrooper can make one a lot, and most likely I will try some of their offers in the next week. Thanks again

Won't help much, but check out paidforum.net/?refererrid=3108 It's similar to this but with a much higher earning potential.. Not saying leave here, I love this community. There's dollar per referal, 1 penny per post, 5 cents per topic start, and 5 dollar signup bonus. Proof of payment is posted in the forums, and after April 1st, you can request payout anytime.

One liners are taboos. So are one liner answers. You just reached 100 posts, I see. If you give short posts and not at least four lines, it can lower the number on your star. A lower star number means lower earnings than someone of a higher star. Just wanted you to know. We are paid for quality posts. I am glad, because I've been elsewhere and I like myLot's quality.

I didn't mean to mention one liners TWICE. I meant to also say that responding with "I don't know" answers can get you negative marks. I don't respond if I don't know. MyLot will delete junk answers, and then you lose your earnings on that one if they delete it.

I love associated content and I would stick with them. I just joined them not too long ago and have heard great things about them. I think you would be able to achieve your goal with just them. You could use this site to promote your published pieces so that they could get more traffic. I think the key to them is to make sure you are sub, itting articles everyday so you have a constant flow of income. I wish you the best of luck!

Whether that is true in all cases depends on what country you live in. It also depends on what your expectations are for living expenses. For me to live on less than $800 a month is unusual. An American household might live on $2000, 3000, or 4000 a month. There are people who earn more, but I don't know them. Checking your profile, I see you are from Egypt. I can't say what the equivalent would be in your funds. What I am trying to say is that $500 is a fraction of what most people who have good jobs in the USA, make. I could work full time but in turn may end up compromising my health one more time. It's worth it for me to work part time, and scheme out a way to make an honest income from the Internet since I am a computer addict. I spend money online so I know it's possible to make money online. Scammers have ideas .. and they have actualized money from their ideas. However, they have taken the "easy way out". To make honest money depends on the wealth inside of you... the skills you have.. this is not an easy road but we are pioneers and we are setting the stage for people to be able to work at home if they need to. There is no reason why I cannot actualize an idea to the web and make money from it.

like you i am also looking for sites that pay. i'd like to take surveys but most of them are offered to us or canada residents only. those offered to philippine residents are not paid surveys but sort of a raffle thing. you know if you're in luck you may win in a raffle/sweepstakes after you submit your completed survey. i'm sorry for not being able to contribute to your query. good luck on your search.

The one thing I accomplished (in the negative sense) by attempting surveys - was getting a lot of spam. The chance to win in a raffle isn't worth all the spam it generated. But, there are sites that are good and that pay. I just don't use them.

Thank you for the ideas. I do need to tell you that your message is hard to read because you are abbreviating too much. MyLot rates on quality and each user that rates you is going to rate you negatively for this. When you get to 100 posts you get a star and that reflects those ratings. A low star means low earnings. Thought you should know since you are new.
