We all know unconditional love, whether it be from a parent or a pet, we all have felt it at some point in our life, but is it possible to achieve this in a mate? To achieve the unconditional love where no matter what you will always know that your loved one will be there for you? What do you think?

I feel that as unfortunate as it is it is impossible to give your mate unconditional love. You can give them your whole heart and hope they do not break it but there is the difference. If your mate breaks your heart one to many times you are eventually going to walk away from that heart ache even though it will create more you need to have control in this very emotional area.
With your children they will break your heart but you will love them through it. This type of unconditional love is reserved for those type of relationships. Your mate is not suppose to hurt you in certain ways and therefore cannot be unconditional. I hope this made sense. Best wishes.

I think it is very possible, I do feel like I have unconditional love with all in my family. Especially my Hubby, no matter what I will always know that he loves me and that he will always be there for me.

I think my husband and i share unconditional love. No matter how frustrated or angry i can get with him, i will always love him, i always have, and i know i always will.
I think everyone i have ever truly ever loved, i still love in some shape or form, and probably always will, it may change a little bit, but it's always there i think.
