.... - MTurk (short for Amazon Mechanical Turk) has a lot of requests for people to write articles at $1.00 each, and the requesters on Mturk of course specify the topic that you must write on. To find them without sorting through everything else, in the search box type the word write. There aren't always this many writing opportunities on there are there are right now.
I've been paid many times by Mturk (maybe 15 or 20 times). They pay directly to your bank account or they can add it to an Amazon gift certificate balance.
I don't benefit by telling you, but I like to be a resourceful person who helps others.

I've looked through it two or three times and could never find anything I was willing to take. Mostly, they want to pay practically nothing.

Tis true, tis true. It is for the bored people who like the tasks in and of themselves and like getting paid something even if not much. I now have better things on the horizon so it isn't competition for my means of gaining money if I let people who are more desperate than me know about it.

Thanks for the tip. Amazon Mechanical Turk seems like a good site for picking up a little extra pocket change when you have a little time to spare. I tried a few of their website classification tasks for 1ยข each to try them out.

If you enjoy the HITS, and don't have something better on the agenda, it's a great way to pick up a little bit of change. I was so funny the first 20 times I got paid... I didn't let stack up to a nice big amount like $10 or $15, but cashed out at 2 cents, 14 cents and 65 cents, etc, just because I could!! It's nice not to have a minimum payout amount and to know that if the HIT is approved then I will be paid.

I do feel like the website classification ones are a bit too much work for what they are willing to pay, and my computer is slow and on dialup so it doesn't work well. I like the Unspun lists, and lists of where you rate three things or you answer a question with your top three. That's an easy penny.

This is cool. Gets you accepted and shows that you can be worth a job you apply for. I have another site that just accepted 3 articles from me and if they pay me anything worthwhile I will let everyone know that might be interested. Another success that could help lead to a new job. At least I hope so. Any pay can be better than poor Mylot.
Thanks for sharing this!!

$1.00 for writing a short article is a little low, I think. You might as well give it away. How short are we talking and what kind of topics? That might make a difference.
