you have a point there honeyangel. they should be good role models since most teenagers look up to them...even some, copy their style. and that's a bad thing to look up to... starving themselves just to look thin at all. not nice!

it's never right to starve yourself just to maintain a certain figure. for one... it's never healthy. better go to the gym and work out than kill yourself slowly.

I wish models would look more like real people. Most of these models look sick, underfed. Who in their right mind would want to look like that? There is too much pressure on women to look skinny. Who is to blame for this? Society seems to accept it. The designers who make the clothes, the men who oggle the women who wear it. Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, that was the average size for women. What happened? Why should we have to starve ourselves to attract a man? It's a shame that it is getting harder to find clothes in larger sizes. By that I mean anything bigger than a 10!

I think there has been too many models that have gone to extremes to become as skinny as they feel they need to be. This is becoming a serious problem in the modeling world and the real world. People are wanting models to be so skinny that it is not safe for them. Actually I have heard about something that is making models have to be between a certain weight range, so they will not be too large or too skinny. I think that is great because models are becoming way to skinny and having health problems, and it is also making society think that you have to be skinny to be beautiful which is not true at all.

I get really angry these days when I see size zero and skinny models, what a dreadful image to promote to kids. The fashion industry and the media seem to promote this image that it is cool to be skinny and scrawny. There are kids of 8 years old on diets for goodness sake. When I see some of these models and celebrities looking like walking skeletons, I want to cringe, I just want to shout "Please eat something, anything"

i am sure this stravation theme is till alive
i know that a few years ago there was a really serious way of action to stop this phenomenon..suddenly we started seeing a big size models and many other models that were at "normal" size..there was also alote of interviews of the anorexic models who claimed they are not sturving therselfs and are against this..but yes i do believe that it still goes on and i see alot of young girls that want to be models and starve themselfs..
