I just had a parent teacher confrence

you know when you go to the parent teacher confrences because your child is doing so bad in grades and your afraid of what the teachers are going to say expecially when you already dispise one of the teachers. i seem to hate this but then you go and it wasnt as bad as you thought it would be. in fact you find out that the only problem seems to be that the child isnt turning in the homework and thats the biggest problem, and then all the teachers decide that your kid did much better while they were playing sports instead of not. well thats what happened today and all the teachers begged me to put my son back into sports despite his grades. i'm not the one that took him out; he just decided since its not football season he didnt want to play any. so i told them that and the coach now has made it his goal to get him interested in sports again other than just football. what are some of your experiences, and how did they "fix" any problems that were there?
