My friend immigrated to Australia about a year ago and at first we would be talking nearly every night but now i feel like there is a bit of distance with us, and not by miles. It just seems that both of is have changed which is really upsetting because we were really close? anyone in the same situation? Has anyone ever moved to a different country?

Oh that is a shame that you two have changed so much that you are not in contact any more, no I have never had this problem with any of my friends, I did move to a different country previously but only stayed there for a certain time and certainly came back home to Australia as soon as I could.

My friend migrated to UK 2 years back and it was big loss to me. We used to talk hours on the phone when in the same city and meet atleast once a week. She got married and left the country for good, so i was happy for her but at the same time missed her terribly. I didnt want to keep reminding her of the good times cause she was starting a new life with her husband. For the first few months we called each other now and then. But now we have mutually decided to write emails as often, met up for chatting and never forget each other's b'days anniversaries etc. I miss her less and we know that we have survived distance so will definitely survive any other thing that comes along.
