Is giving people offers to save money spam while advertising a website is not!?

Is giving people a chance to save money spam? I posted a thread for people to save money in their purchases, but the thread was blocked and I was told it is spam? Why is that? Howcome that is spam but asking people to join a program and pay for it is not? Should one of the aims of this section of the forum be to allow people to make money and also save money? Isnt spam by definition putting the same post many times?! This was the first time i offerred to give people coupons and offers for thier shopping, and it is for reel! Anyways, your inputs on this discussion is highly appreacieated.... Also please say any concerns that you have on this forum and ways you think it should improve.... This might give admin some new ideas... Thanks
