If federalism would have been pushed through in the Philippines as what former Cebu Governor Lito Osmeña actively pushed during his term, i would say Cebu stands a better chance to excel in the world than the Philippines as a whole. Go Cebu!

Right, coz Cebu is never dependent on the national government. Cebu's economy is driven by the Cebuano's entrepreneurial skills and the spirit to excel. There are few bad eggs in the basket though, like the authors of the Sugbuak bill!

No better places in the Philippines than Cebu. There are so many online marketers in cebu who excelled and became instant millionaires. Americans even can't believe that even until now they think they are good but crippled only by the cebuanos. It was known to the whole world. GO CEBU....GO

Yes of course. We don't need the big sharks there in Manila manning us. They are so corrupt and power hungry. Anyways what is Sugbuak mean?

Sugbuak means there are hungry politicians here who wants to divide Cebu into three provinces, which is for me straightforward absurd.

no, my opinion is this.. its been years cebu wants to stand as a federal state but the government didnt approve. if cebu really can stand as a federal state it should be a federal state more than 10 years ago.. if they granted to be as a federal state im happy.

of course. cebu is far more better than manila and the rest of the philippines, it could really stand on its own, especially if tommy osmeña will run the whole state.

With our 7,107 islands and all our abundant resources, the Philippines should be ahead in all neighboring countries and would excel in the world. No matter what type of government we will be adopting, as long as there will be corruption in our politics, massive poverty, etc...we can never move forward.
