Would you use your own vows or traditional ones?

IF we decide to get married, my Sweetheart and I would love to write our own vows. We are bot hwriters by profession, and that's how we met, so we would like to use our individual and shared talent to express our love for eachother.

I think that they are both good. Although, my fiance and I are talking about , or have talked about using our own vows. I'm not sure if we still will or not, but hopefully we will. I think that's something we'll have to work on though.

Wedding happens only once and it is always the most wonderful moments of every people, so I want to be creative as much as possible. I want to make it modern with a little touch of tradition. Like I don't like Hotel reception but prefer a beach or a mountain resort, no throwing of bouquets of garter but all party and party with a video footage relating how we meet and what can say to each other, rather than crying episodes. I want a cotillion wedding, you know a dance number with bridesmaid and groosmen. I want also to write my own vows rather than reading the written vows.

I've witness a lot of weddings, my relatives and friends as well as watched the wedding specials of some celebrities. I always wanted to have my own wedding vows before, but I guess the traditional vows are a bit romantic for my taste because the words came from the bible. And it also feels good to know that you are saying what your parents and grandparents said on their wedding day. I think it really is more romantic.
