Departure from life, passing on the loss of a life, does not have to be final.

Someone close, smiles to you, Someone close, jokes with you, someone close laughs with you, someone close wonders why its so out of the blue, a thunderbolt out of the blue! You are confused, with disbelief, distress with a numbness, that sends a panic and bewilderment to a rude awakening, your deep affection and fondness for this man/women has touched your human soul. As large as life is. He/She starts to cry and weep, sheding tears, sob, wail and cry as if one's heart would break. Life is so sweet, yet as these passing away angels captavate us all so dear. What is most cherished at that moment, from him/her. What sweet smelling memories do you hold so dear? Do you miss the funny storys and jokes? The stunts and pranks? The laughing? The tease? The wisecracks? The one liners? The rib-tickler? The knee/thigh slapper? What do you miss that will aways be with you until you depart?

You miss everything. As each day passes, more memories flood your mind and you smile, only to feel the stab of sadness when you realize the person is gone. Pictures make you smile when you can share your stories. They can also make you shed a tear when you come across one all alone. Time and family heal us. Memories keep us from forgetting. There are signs that tell us they are still around in spirit..and we pray that we will see them again some day.

yes, all these memories will linger on. i can still remember how much my father loved my eldest child. when the second one came along, i can see the joy in his face. he was a loving and gentle grandfather and a loving one, too. those are the moments when i realized that my father have plenty of soft tender moments with us while we were kids and growing up. he had been supportive of us. things that i have taken for granted and never noticed then. i just knew him to be a disciplinarian and had taken him as such before.
