DUBAI UAE Why?

I live in Dubai for more the 5 years now and I noticed not only me but I think all the people, that lot of people now a days are all eyes to Dubai United Arab Emirates, But why? because they want to travel and make a tour or to travel to find a job. For tourist this land was amazing but for low income labourer this land was a mess. So in your opinion What is Dubai?

Plenty of Filipinos are making a living their in Dubai and I want to join them hopefully this year. I got plenty of friends who work their and they are indeed successful in a way in their chosen field.Dubai is one of the most industrialize and rich country in ASIA. So to expect, there would be plenty of foreigners who will be exploring that great city. It's been doing good economically. Hopefully I'll also have my luck in your country.
