Can any body answer this question...Why is it that one person (generic person) can have a rating of 95/100 and have a blue star with a 10 and another (generic) person can have 95/100 and have a red star with a 9? What determines whether you get the red star of the blue one?

I think 95 is the barrier that we have to break to reach for a blue star, I don't know on how much amount to achieve to get that blue star. Just continue to post and respond on other;s topics, and also with quality.
If you get rated to most of your posts, then that's where your star will change.

raijin: Thank you for your assistance, but that really doesn't answer my question. I'm not trying to be obtuse here but I just don't understand why if there are 2 people with the same score of 95/100, why does one have a red star and one a blue star? By-the-way, what does "raijin" mean and how do you pronounce it? ;-)

When we get a red star with 95, it means we have to achieve more ratings to have a blue star with a 95 rating on it. This is where we have to cross in-between red and blue, it's like we are in the middle of the bridge. We need to attain an imaginary amount or ratio to adjust our star and change from 9 to 10, depending on what ratings we recieve fromother users. Here is a link to help you explain more about it:

Sorry, wrong link.. Here is a copy that I recieved from a discussion I started back then:
"Well base from the alert I receive from mylot yesterday (I think everyone receive it as well). The previous rating were some how frozen, and they were able to correct their mistake so its now working properly, from this I think they're talking about the computation of our rating, you probably just need a little bit more + to get your 10 blue star back. I think this is the adjustment made by the new computation. as I check your rating you have a 95/100 which you should be getting a 10 star. But I have seen people with this rating on either 9 star or 10 star. so I would guess you would probably need about an imaginary .5 rating for you to became a 10 star again. If you were a 94/100 I would definately say you were hit strong by someone but since you're still 95/100 I would guess its was adjusted to the new rating system."
BTW, the name is from one of my favorite characters on a PS1 game.. It's simply rai-jin..
