Reading the Bible is not reading it plainly. Christians had the 'daily devotions' --where they spent time with God and meditated on the Bible passages in order for them to understand it and grow spiritually. In 2 Peter 3:9 said "God is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance," while in 3:15, it says there that "bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation,". So please don't focus on leaving the earth first. There is so much God want us to do. God bless!

I admit I read the bible when I'm not in the mood to do anything else. I read books more often than the bible. And whenever I get the chance, I always pick pages randomly and relate to my life. I made a fortune teller out of the bible. There was a time when I read about marriage. It says there that celibacy pleases the God because you devote undivided attention to Him, whereas if you get married, your full attention is how to please your wife/husband. Do you believe in that, Portex? I mean no disrespect. (I'm smiling right now.)
