I suppose it all depends on what reason you have at that particular moment of time.I think friends can be good advisors and depem=nding on who can analyse the situation best,I would go for either a good friend or a girlfried/boyfriend.But you cannot be absolute in this regard because every person has a unique point of view and it is important that we try to choose the best advice that we can at a certain time.I hope I understood your post right.I could not choose one person over the other at all.I would consider everyone's advice before taking anyone's words.If this is about taking sides on a particular issue,I would analyse the situation objectively without involving my friendship with either of them and try to make out what is the right thing to say or believe at that moment.
