I left a lot up to faith when I graduated from college. Basically, I was a Sociology major and knew that I didn't want to go to grad school right away. With my BA there were lots of jobs that I could do, so I pretty much applied for jobs that sounded interesting to me so that I could work for a bit while I decided what I wanted to do for a career. This lead to some mis-matched jobs for me, but I needed the money and the economy was bad so I took what I could get. After some time, I found a job working at a university in a department that teaches some of the material I studied in college. Sure, I don't need to know any of this stuff to do my job, but it certainly makes for some really interesting conversations with the teaching staff. Right now I'm on the verge of trying to choose a more direct career path for myself, one that is more specialized. In order to do that, I either need to go back to school or move laterally to another department. Basically what I'm saying to you is that a lot people do not end up using their college major in their career, or at least not at the beginning. However, the skills that you learn in college are extremely important to your aibility to preform in the workplace. You learn how to analize information and how to write. Then you can pretty much go anywhere from there. Once you have a chance to get some more work experience, you will be able to learn about what you like to do and what you don't like to do. Then you will find that you can make more informed choices about where you would like your career to go. When you stop and look around, you would be amazed at how many different types of careers there are out there, including ones you've never thought of before. So don't worry, you're not alone and you will find your path. Good luck!

That happens a lot of times.I think you should decide what you want to do in future so that you can start working on it right from now.I had my eyes fixed on the teaching line of work,so I did work hard towards it.I think it helps to have a goal in life if only because you donot want to see time wasted. Most college students have the same feeling as you.I was also like that during my graduation, kind of disoriented and not knowing what to choose next. But I got admission into the masters programme and I was cool after that.
