I also hate those who kill dogs to satisfy their stomach. Here in the Philippines, there is a law preventing this act for dogs. I dont know why people have the guts in eatng dogs?

Yes. It is very shocking. But what is the solution?
Small kids always throw stones at dogs. Even adults try to run a car or a cycle over them. People always try to irritate dogs. Dogs are also a bit ferocious in the night hours. However, we have to find some way to solve the problem by not killing them. I think 2 house owners can adopt a dog give injections, buy license and provide food for them. But they should be allowed to roam in the streets. That is, the house owners are not required to keep the dog as their pet, but just pay for its basic healthcare. In this manner, they will behave themselves. Here in Mumbai in our building complex many dogs would roam and they mind their own business.
Its not fair to say that dogs don't have the right to roam or live at all. Humans have taken up too much space and it is mightily arrogant to say that because we need to live a convenient life, animals have to be killed. We have a responsibility to have them live a good life as well along with us.

Even if 80% of the dogs are caught and killed, they will return to their original size in three to four years. The key is to prevent this from happening in the first place, which starts with one resposible pet owner at a time.
Dogs are 'pack' animals and when left wild will act as such. I have to question how this population of wild dogs came to be to begin with. There's obviously more dogs than there is food to supply them, so they then attack a child. I love dogs dearly, but what if it were your child?
I'd like to see ALL countries get 'pet' laws into control. It would be great if each cat or dog that was adopted could be mirco-chipped with the adoptees info. Then, should that animal ever turn out to become a stray, they would have the info on the person and be able to charge them for animal cruelty via abondonment. Only licensed breeders should be able to mate their pets, and even then, with great restriction.
These animals become constant victims through mans ignorance and irresponsibility. The percentage of animals adopted out to homes through a shelter as opposed to the number who are euthanized is vastly different. And forget NO KILL shelters, they only ship the animals to a shelter who is equipped to euthanize them.

Doesn't this place have any Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals? If they do then why isn't this organization taking care of the problem?

yes its a horrible thing to happen that the government decided to kill all the street dogs. it would be a pathetic situation. Dogs too have their right to live on this earth it is we who have caused harm to them. I think the government plan about adopting the dog would work in this sitaution. Any support to help them pls let all the dog lovers know and well get together
