I sorted out some of books the other day and found several of my Terry Pratchett Discworld books. I had forgotten just how funny they are, and have got stuck into reading them all again. Anyone who had read any of the Discworld series will be familiar with Nanny Ogg, Esmerelda Weatherwax and Magrat Garlick, the City Watch, the Patrician and, of course, Death. If I had to chose my favourite character it would have to be Nanny Ogg. So, do you have a favourite Discowrld character?

I am a big lover and reader of Harry Potter, and I love fantasy so I thought I'd try the Terry Pratchett books, as I've heard so many people rave about them. So off I go to the local library to get the first book out of the discworld series, I find some quality peaceful time to read, and I start reading. I gave up in the end, I couldn't understand, get into the book or wonder what the hell it was on about. Sorry but I couldn't go any further, I took the book back to the library and told the woman who helped me and was also interested in starting not to bother! Sorry but it wasn't my type of story.

No probs hun, Terry Pratchett's books can be a little difficult to get into, I found them by accident and was hooked but then I have friends who ust couldn't get into them at all

Yup, this is quite a good author. I have read most of his books. I like those which feature magic so Nanny Ogg and Esmerelda Weatherwax are definitely 2 of my favorites. ^^

:-) cool, a fellow fan. I am currently re-reading Witches Abroad and it has really cheered me up.
