Been to Hawaii?

How many myLoters have been to the islands? I went about 15 years ago and have not gotten back since, but I loved the place. The best thing I liked is on Kauai, when we were driving all the way around the island and saw where they filmed King Kong. The place was abandonded, but the big gates to keep Kong out were still up. It was in the middle of nowhere!

My favorite island was Maui. We found so many private beaches and lonely roads. Just my cup of tea, so to speak. They film LOST there now . . . well on one of the islands. Not sure which one but it looks like Maui.

I think I have read somewhere that they film on Oahu. I agree that it looks like Maui.

I have never been to Hawaii and the United States but I would love to visit one day even if it means I'll be on a tour bus or something! I've seen pictures of it so many times and it looks so beautiful and exotic. I especially love the beaches. We have them here but compared to Hawaii ours look so ugly lol.

Yes I have even been to Molokai. I have been to the big island (Hawaii) Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. I even took a helicopter tour in Kauai

I have been twice. Once I stayed on Oahu. My husband was there on a business trip. I would do water activies all day and have fun with him in the evening. It was a good place to be as far as having plenty of activity to choose for the evenings. On that trip we visited the big island (Hawaii) on one of his days off. We drove the whole island with a tour guide and really say it all. It was fabulous.
Years later we returned to Maui to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary. Loved Maui.... everything about it. I would go back every year if I could.
