Do you know that bowling is 80% mental?

Everything you do before stepping on the approach will determine what your score is. Three hundred games are not by accident, you must first beleive that you can do it then it will happen. Two hundred average bowlers are not better than you they just beleive they can and therefore they do. Yes, there is some work you have to do in order to get ready, but until you beleive you can do it, it wont happen.

Thanks for the information about bowling, Jimcaso. I haven't bowled for a long while because of an accident. But when I return to the bowling alley I shall remember just what you discussed

I think that is true for most of the things we attempt in life. You might change your mind if you ever took me bowling though. In my case, bowling is mostly luck. lol

I do know that bowling is mostly a mental game and not how hard you throw a ball. There is a lot you need to do mentally to do well in this game. You need to have confidence as well as know how to throw the ball, where to throw the ball, reading the lanes, using proper form and more. You definitely need to be positive and not let a missed shot let you down. I have a hard time regaining confidence after missing a spare shot.

i agree somewhat with you it is a mind thing approach is important as is ball placement but i have my own style of bowling approach and all and it works for me so i dont think there is a formula you have to follow 300 hundred games from haveing the exact same approach and ball placement everytime
