Is it bad for a friendship for two friends who are pretty much almost best friends to start a buisness togethter? I am thinking of starting a karaoke business with a really good friend of mine and it is going to be 50/50, but I am scared if something goes arye that our friendship could be compromised. What are your thoughts?

It is not bad for friends to start a business. If both of their interests are the same then i dont think there should be any problem. It will be more advantageous as both the friends can understand each other better and the rapport will be good right from the beginning.

Try to remember that going into business is a relationship, too! :)
You and Your friend must make sure that you are truly willing to keep your friendship, no matter what happens...because almost anything in business, just like Life, can happen..
If there is a fear of anything changing your lives as they are, this must be brought up in an open and honest manner. Just as friends should always strive to be as candid as possible in their personal live, it's even more important in their business lives...
No, it's not bad for friends to go into business together, in fact, some business relationships outlast marriages! LOL! :)...
But go to it wisely and with eyes wide open!
"Love at the Beginning, Love at The Last!" is my personal motto!
Have an excellent day!
May Joy, Abundance and Peace be with you and yours, and may Prosperity, Happiness and Love ever grace your Lives! :)

Thank you for your comment. I would hope our friend ship is strong enough. I love him and hope nothing could come between our strong friendship.

It can be dangerous, for sure. Any sort of relationship like that can be stressful for a friendship, it is the same with moving in with a friend. It tests the strength of your friendship. Do you trust this friend completely? Do you think your business could fail?
You have to ask yourself these questions before going forward. But over all if you trust your friend and have faith in the idea then I say go for it.

base on experience.. i discourage it. business or money ruins friendship. eventually you'll be pointing fingers when something gets wrong... or you'll be thinking that you've worked more than the other. things like that. r u ready to risk your friendship?

You'll either end up only as business partners or keep your friendship. I know of friends who went to business together but they had a falling-out along the way because of money matters. If you go into business with a friend, it is difficult to make subjective decisions regarding the business because emotions get in the way.
