Do you tend to check for certain people on your friends list to see if they have posted any discussions? Do you lean towards some friends discussions more than others? Do you anticipate thoughtful responses from some? What do you think? How do you navigate your friends list?

I do this. I have a special soft spot for my friends and I dont think anybody will raise a finger for that. Actually, thats the meaning of having friends isnt it. But i sure reply to other discussions as well. There are times i await for responses from my special friends. Some times i receive, some times i dont. But i dont lose heart or misunderstand. After all, this is a friendly and free site. But when giving b/r, i am not acting bias. I give merit where it is due.

I always am fair with best answers as well. Most end up being from my friends, which is the reason why they are my friends. They give thoughtful responses and add something to each discussion.

I admit there are a couple on my friend's list that I seem particularly attracted to their style of posting, the discussions they create - usually have something that I feel I can comment on. I do check my friend's discussions a few times a day (all my friends) but sometimes I will only go through the first 4 pages that show up, due to time constraints.
How about you, misheleen?

After signing on, one of the first things I do is check my friends discussions. There are a few I tend to gravitate more towards checking, because they always post great discussions. there are those that I await reading their responses as well.

I try to respond to my friends that respond to mine. I just can't get that many done because I can't stay on here long enough. I try though. And I hope my friends know that :-)

I do it all the time. I have some friends in which I really do anticipate their responses because the respond very well and long. They really put their time in helping me out as well as I try and help them out. I'm wanting to go through my friend list though pretty soon to delete a few and get some new ones because alot I haven't really seen much activity from. I give people a chance though but it's been quite awhile that I've heard from some or even seen posts from them. It's hard though to keep up with some but I try as much as I can to go through everyone's pages.

I get email notification (I keep them 'on' for my favourite 'friends', you would agree everyone cannot be favourite). However, I prefer to reply to those discussion on which I have something to say, something important to share and comment, irrespective of the fact whether, that was started by a favourite friend or not.
(ii)I do not lean towards some friends discussions more than others, I wish to give equal treatment to everyone, or the way I am treated by them.
Yes, I have some exceptional friends on my list, who will, come what may, always post quality response.

Definately! I have a few friends with very similar interests to mine and find their discussions easy to answer. Others don't seem to add many discussions of their own and tend to answer only, so I go to my friends list , look up about three or four that always have new discussions and then work my way through the new discussions of the others. Sometimes I just answer one or two friends a day and go and look at my interest page for more discussions.

I always check discussion friends started link first, then if there are friends I know start discussions, but are not on the first page, then I'll check their profile. Then I go on to my routine...

I have email notifications set to ON for my friends. So said, I don't need to check for any friend's discussions in particular - since I would receive all anyway. I would run through the email notifications and then reply to topics I can answer. Tough work. :P

I have email notifications on, but I think just to receive msgs when I receive new reponses. I'll have to go and check on the friends new discussion being notified.

Not exactly, huhhhhhhhhhh yeah may be one or two wait may be 8 of them are there . You are one of them this is for sure . I give more attention to discussions of people whom I'm interested in converting to good friends. I have saved them in my favorites. As soon as I log in I first give response to their discussion and then look after other friends.

Yes there are favourites among the friends list. Not everybody on the friends list would respond to all your discussions so you too try to respond to the discussions started by those who respond to yours. All you have to do is to make the status of the notify new discussion started by friend to on and then you would be posted on the new discussions started by them
