I speak English and Spanish. I would love to learn French, though.

I do not have much problems with sweedish and danish as they are similar to norwegian. I'd say i am pretty good at speaking english. I know some french and german - I can get by when ordering food and hotel rooms and stuff like that. It has been a while since I spoke french and german. I am not sure i would be able to take part in a discussion in these languages anymore. But I think it would come back to me pretty quickly if I stayed in french and germanspeaking countries for some time.

I only speak one.. English and a bit of high school French. I wish I had taken the time to learn more, as I believe it is a real gift to be able to communicate in several languages.

I speak english, little bits of spanish and italian. My father spoke english, german, french and spanish all well.My mother spoke french, englishand some Scots as she called it.My fathers mother was germen born but grew up in an orphanage in Canada.Because of her speaking german she was treated badly during WWII so did everything she could to be American. When I was a child my granper told me to tell her in french'the cat sh*t on the pump handle'I told her and she slapped my face hard and shouted at me'you are the American. You not the foreign. You speak the American no other! She had never struck me prior and never did again. She was afraid to be found out as none american .Funny thing she had only to open her mouth and everybody knew.I kind of resent that I was never allowed to learn those languages at home. Good luck R
