I personally go out and buy movies I don't rent ,but to each it's own. If so what movies would you buy?

If I love a film, I buy it. It has to be a film that I would want to see over and over again. If I just want to see a film and I'm not sure I will like it, I rent it.

I think it depends on the situation. If I'm not sure if I'll like the movie or not and just want to try it out, then I usually just rent it (unless I find it on sale for a really good price) in case I end up not liking it. If it's something I know I like though and I'll probably want to watch it again, then I would definitely prefer to buy it.

Well i dont buy movies since my brother always buys. If there is a movie i like but he doesnt have a copy, i go for renting. I guess because i know afterwatching the movie i wouldnt be able to use it anymore unless its so good that you want others to see the movie too then maybe i will buy it.

It depends on the movie for me, most kids movies i just go out & buy but if it's something i'm not sure about i will hire it first to see if it's worth watching more than once, if it is, i buy it, if not, then i'm glad i only hired it & didn't waste the money on it!

I rent movies to watch for the first time and if I really like it then I will buy it. I have a wide variety of movies and I am not a fan of any one particular genre. My taste is ecclectic to say the least and sometimes I will like something I never expected too and vice versa.

If a person plans to dedictar themselves to a form of technology than purchasing can be cheaper in many cases, however when it comes to formats there is always something new on the horizon, just as now DVD is being replaced by HDDVD and BlueRay...one who has invested a lot into a dvd collection may find themselves holding a worthless pile of disks if they wish to upgrade

I would say as your first responder said, I also rent from Netflix and if it's a movie I just have to have in my collection, I then go out and purchase it. Netflix is pretty cheap also

I'm renting movies all the time, however, if I really really like the movie or a just got to have I will buy it. I don't have a huge DVD collection, but I know it's movies of my favorites or of my son favorites which for him, I will just buy straight out

I used to rent but now I watch them online at www.MeTubes.com. I don't have to spend any money or go to the store to rent them. Check this website out it is great. http://www.MeTubes.com.

The better investment depends on your preferences and how much the cost is. If you rent from a place like Blockbuster, the expense can be pretty high. I rent from Netflix, and it's very cheap, so I can watch movies that I probably wouldn't want to see more than once. I also buy a fair number of movies, usually used, so the cost is very low. I reserve buying for movies that are worth seeing several times. And if I do get tired of them, I can sell them on half.com later. I may not get all my money back, but it often works out no more expensive than rentals.

i buy a copy.. i love watching movies again and again.. heheh! well, there are movies i buy because i've seen it on the big screen and really loved it. and there are movies i buy a copy of because i just want to see it but i don't want to catch it on the big screen.. confusing?! hehe!

I watch most the movies in the theaters, the rest I rent. Since I know 3 languages the DVD pool is vast and varied I also have a varied taste in movie watching I could watch a Saving Private Ryan or a Apocalipto just as easily as watching Bambi! So I do not buy movies so often but the ones that I have are classics and the rest are hugely popular ones like Superman or Harry Potter! Renting makes my life easier and keeps my budget too.

firstly, i watch the movie,if i like it, i can buy for watching again and again ,if i only appreciate it, remember the movie and later i will rent it again.. but after all, watching movies is important than keeping and others behaviors.
