Do you pee everyday?

Philippines
March 20, 2007 3:41pm CST
My Dad spends a very long time in our toilet every morning when he wakes up. Before he takes a bath, he pees. While he pees, he reads newspapers. SOmetimes, we tease him but he'd always tell us back that it's a healthy way. Even if you don't feel like peeing, you have to force yourself to pee at least once a day to remove the wastes in your body. He has a point. But i can't sometimes do that especially when I'm in a hurry for work. In a week, I pee at least 3 times, but not really everyday. Well, do you? :)

Basically i don't think this is a subject that belongs on mylot. People don't generally like to read headlines about their bodily functions

Well, from what I know, once you join mylot, you can post any discussions you like as long as it's not a foul language. So do you think "PEEING or POOING" is a foul language? It's part of our day to day life, so why not include? Thanks for responding anyway :)

Mylot generally allows all types of discussions unless they are abusive, contain foul language, talk about other paid forum sites, or says bad things about this site. It really doesn't have to do with what people like or don't like.

Well, i think you have to read the errors I have corrected in the number person who did replied to this discussion before you'll ever reply. :) I stand corrected that what I mean is "removing the bowel movement". Sorry for using the word "PEE". I thought that's what it meant. lol :) THanks anyway for responding :)

I am glad you cleared up the confusion between urinating (peeing) and having a bowel movement (pooing) as I was getting a little worried about you not peeing all day. Bowel movements vary widely among people some people are regular and go every day sometimes more than once a day others go every couple of days. It really depends on your diet. If you get the right amount of fiber and all.

The discussion has gone from peeing to bowel movement. so much so god. It is true that you need to move your bowel at least once or twice a day so that it becomes a healthy practice. Well if it is peeing it need to be minimum 5 or six times and one need to take a minimum 3 liters of water. water intake ease the bowel movement . it also helps to eliminate the body waste, Further that helps the kidney function. Propel who have constipation Can try water therapy , by taking 2 liters of water in the morning in empty stomach and can see the results. It adds to your glow of the skin and also keeps your digestive system in good condition. If you are the kind of person who does not remove the bowels at least once a day there is something wrong with the system and that may lead to complications like constipation, piles, etc. and may require treatment later. Better take some herbs and ease the bowel movement . Eat lot of fibers and take enough water. Fix a time for the bowel movement. Do not say you do not have time. Can you afford to say that you do not have time to breathe?

Thanks so much for the tips Raveemenon. I'm glad you were able to find out that what I actually meant in this discussion was the bowel movement. I had used PEE the wrong term. Sorry for that. :) I agree. THat's what my Dad also tells us that we should have time to remove our bowel once a day so to prevent constipation and any complications. :)

wise time management...lol - reading in the toilet
ummm friend, do you really mean "pee"ing here or the bowel movement (poop) itself? I guess what you're talking about here is the bowel movement or the poop thingie coz I find it really abnormal for a person to "pee" just THREE TIMES IN A WEEK...:P well, moving your bowels or to poop sometimes give a "yuck," expression to some people. Most people don't want to discuss going poop. But moving your bowels is an important body function, so it's good to know what's normal and what's not. however, many people think that normal means having one bowel movement every day, but that's not always true. People are different, and so are their bowels. Normal for one person might be three bowel movements a day, and normal for another might be three bowel movements a week. If your bowel movements fit somewhere in that range, then you're on a normal schedule.:P

I'm glad you also have noticed my mistake. Guess I need to resharpen my knowledge. lol. Yes, what I actually meant was pooing not peeing. Anyway, thanks for another information regarding bowel movement. I thought that removing bowel once a day is the normal one. :)

Oh, now that I see your correction I would say that, yes, I do have a bowel movement every day *blush*. Some people only have one everyone two or three days. I was always told that if you go more than three days, there's a problem.

Wow! Only three times a week?? You need to get some fluids in you, lol. I pee probably four or five times a day at least. I do drink a lot of water, juice, etc, though. I make sure to stay hydrated throughout the day, so that is probably why. I guess some people's bodies are different than others, though! :)

Of course I do pee everyday. I don't think I can last a day without peeing up to 3 times... :P but I guess you were referring to the other thing...lol and yeah, I do it everyday as well as I have been told that it keeps us healthy when we remove our body waste regularly, that's on a daily basis. :P

I think your dad is right. Its good to pee and remove your bowels everyday. Its healthy. If you are not 'going' daily something is wrong. Either you are not drinking enough water or you are not on a good diet. Please watch your health.

Unless you are extremely dehydrating you will urinate (pee) every day. A man reading while urinating is rare so I'm assuming you didn't mean to discuss urination, but defecation. So to answer THAT question...defecating is very healthy for you. Many diseases begin in the colon so it is good to cleanse it regularly. A diet higher in fiber will help you to be able to use the bathroom more regularly.

Not only pee, I also poo every day! :P ...Dude! If you pee only 3 times a week, YOU DRINK TOO LESS!!! i pee like 6 times a day. Your dad is just a normal guy I totally understand him! maybe it sounds lame if another guy tells you that you need to drink at least 8 cups of water every day, but TRUST ME you need to do it!!! Sometimes you can mistake your need for water for hunger. Think about it!

OK seeing that you meant "pooping" and not "peeing"... I usually do once a day, but it has not been rare for weeks at a time in my life to only poop once every several days. I remember in particular, once when I was about 10, having to poop, and as I sat down I realized it had been so long since I'd last pooped I couldn't remember it... It may have to do with the quality of food we put into our body, as well as quantity. The body passes what it doesn't use out. However, even if there's good stuff, if the body doesn't need it all, it passes it out, so quantity matters as well. I don't see 2-3 poops a week as anything particularly abnormal at all. As for taking forever to poop, I do that too sometimes... It's just, with 2 kids and a million animals, sometimes a "poop" is the only real way to get a 30 minute retreat from insanity. If my wife thinks I'm just slow or a little bit disgusting, I don't care - I still get the 30 minute break (lol)

You have to, because your bladder just can contain 0.5 liter , and normally person at least should drink 1.5 liter/day , So at least you go to bathroom 3 time/day. And that the Drs call it frequency. but about the heavy one , you can do it 3 time/week at least.

Of course! It's peeing we are talking about, my friend. How can someone even not pee for a day? - unless he doesn't drink any water. I drink a lot of water (healthy lifestyle lol) everyday so if I don't pee, there would be something wrong with me. :P

look my dear as the age goes on the digestive system, urinay system in our body will get effected and this will lead to improper functioning of urinals and pee. so at this moment it will take lots of time to get everyhting done so its upto us to have some patience and let your dad pee as far as he can. if you are in such a hurry then its better you get up early and finish of your work so that your dad may not get distracted.
