I went to Tikal in Gautemala. I loved climing the Mayan ruins. I got wonderful views of the rainforest and all the other Mayan ruins. I heard monkeys and then saw them high up, swinging in the trees. I think Mayan people were clever make such amazing buildings.
Which is your favourite historical site in the world. Whay do you like it?

aside from the great pyramid of giza and the sphinx, chichen itza and tulum in yucatan province of mexico stand out. chichen itza was found larger than giza and still larger is the pyramid in bosnia, mascarading as a mountain as it was so large and completely overgrown due to its age.

The first historical site that would come to my mind would be Red Beach in Palo, Leyte, Philippines. This is where Gen. Douglas MacArthur landed upon his return to the Philippines to fulfill his famous promise, "I shall return," which he made three years beforehand. This famous phrase was an echo of Christ's promise. Gen. MacArthur returned to liberate the country from foreign occupation, similarly the Lord Jesus will also soon return to liberate us from this corrupt and oppressing world. Visiting that site fills my heart with thanks as I recall the past and fills my heart with hope as I look forward to the future.
