If your spouse is in a depression and you want to reach out to them do you keep encouraging them through out the day or do you just leave them alone? I find leaving them alone makes them more depressed what do you think?

I'm not sure I know when I tried to help my ex with his depression he would get mad at me. All I can say is pray for him. Prayer always seems to help.

What works for one may not work for another. There are times where I just do not want anyone around. But my g/f will ask me if I want her to leave. She allows me the option! She has often sat beside me giving me as much space as I need or ask for.I feel very happy(when I finally come out of that particular depression cycle)she supports me and tries to understand my needs when I can't express myslef.

True true I try to be supportive all I can but when you have 4 kids needing that happiness and daddy time its hard to explain he needs to be alone and then I get resentful as much as I try to be supportive its the human side I guess

Each person is different. So, you must act according to our situation. Also, pray and pray for them.
