Premature grey or white hair made you look older or did it matter

My hair started to go white when I was in my twenties. Now I am in my 60s and my hair is almost a platinum blonde, although when it's wet, I can still see the brown. I was wondering from other premature greyers, whether it made you look older or did it make any difference?

I've had grey hair since I was in highschoool. I was wondering why I have since my parents didn't have any gray hair at all... Though its troubling me but I guess it doesn't affect how I look or it would make me older than my age...
