I dropped my laptop and now some places of the screen is black.
Is there anything I can do to save my laptop because I do not have enough money to buy a new one?

um im not much of a wizz when it comes to computers, but i rent my computer, and after so long i will own it, maybe you could look into something like that to get a new computer instead of forking out heaps of money to pay for it outright.

First reset the PMU:
With power off, hold Shift-Control-Option and press and release the power button. Wait 5 seconds for it to complete.
Then Boot into Open Firmware:Starting and hold Command-Option-O-F
If the screen doesn't light up at this time, the backlight itself may be blown.
If it does light up, reset your NVRam by entering the following commands following each by Return:set-defaults
reset-nvram
reset-all
If you got this far, you should be back in business
Try this link too as it can solve your problem .
