Does anyone know how they pick featured content on AC? One of my articles is on the featured content list right now under parenting. It's actually the second article I wrote. I was really surprised to see it there. What makes it really surprising is that when they bought it, they gave me a low offer, because they said the information was too general. Now it's been featured since sometime yesterday, or maybe even before.
I don't really know how they pick features, though. I was wondering if anyone could tell me...

I'm not 100% sure. I think that new articles that were offered more automatically go up on the featured content for each section because I have seen my higher paying articles listed on the featured content even though it isn't really great stuff.

I don't think that's it because my highest offer never made featured, yet. It might sometime in the future though. I would have thought that for a $50 article they'd want to feature it. But I guess there is another method to their madness.

I have no idea because I signed up for that site but haven't taken the time to check it out fully. I always feel like I have so much to say on a regular basis about a number of subjects but when I think about writing about it for money, I get scared - and feel like my writing won't be good enough. I think I have writers block. *haha*
BUT I wanted to pop in and congratulate you for being picked for the featured content because it sounds like a good thing! Keep up the good work and I hope you make alot of money with your articles on AC!

It's really not hard to write for AC. You should give it a try. Just write about things you know, and you will probably get offers. I have published about 25 articles with them so far, and never had any rejections. They've almost all been about babies, pets, or saving money, because that's what I know. The few I've written about other things haven't sold as well, so I guess those three areas are my personal bests.
