Is love lovelier the second time around?

Is it possible to fall in love with the same person again? I wanna know if anyone did. I'm breaking things with my boyfriend and im wondering if i made the right decision. I felt i fell out of love. i dont know if this is just a phase or if im just plain unhappy with or without him. He constantly tells me that he still loves me. So I told him he can court me again if he wants to. Should I continue giving him hope? Or will the feeling I once felt for him never coming back and i might just be giving him false hope.
