Its Spring and the fresh produce is already out!

I spent some money this weekend at a few roadside produce stands and at a flea market's vegetable booth! I love the freshly grown vegetables and fruits! These are much cheaper than the supermarket hot house grown ones and I think they are tastier, too. I love brussel sprouts and steamed the nice ones I picked out of a barrel. Deeeelicious!
What types of produce do you like to buy fresh and from where?

ohhhhh fresh veggies i am going to have to keep my eyes out for some fresh grown peas in the pod. My cousin last year when we went down to visit them in columbus she made 2 different things with fresh peas and then green beans and i have been waiting to try this. She actually pan fried them
oh were they sooooo good. I will have to find a farmers market by my boyfriends house.

I buy all of the produce we eat form the grocery store. Summer time favorites include GOOD tomatoes, asparagus, strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, and peaches. We have all ready had some delicious peaches. The rest we are still waiting on....

It's one of the things I like best about the advent of Spring: the appearance of fresh fruits and veggies! I love peaches and pears and cherries and berries and grapes, (along with almost all the others) among the fruits; fresh-picked corn on the cob is one of the all-time treats of warm weather.
