How many of you like to take pictures of dry leaves? For me, it is an obsession. I have a good collection of them, leaves of all sizes, hues and shapes, looking magnifiscent in their dry and true elegance. Please do share your views on this, and pictures too, if possible!

That is a very nice idea. I used to paint on dry leaves, especially Banyan leaves and paste them on cards and gift them. It looks really good. I wish I could show you those paintings, you might like them. You have any pictures in your computer? Why not share them?

i can't put any pix on line, as i only have a regular camera right now, but i love to take pix of leaves also. i think the fall leaves with their different shades and gorgeous bright colors are wonderful. no two are ever alike, ...i specially like the leaves of the maple as the shades of red, orange, and yellow just jump out at you like no other.

I agree with you that maple leaves are the best one can hunt for, when it comes to photography. I am glad that you responded to this, and hope you will be able to send some pictures when you shift to digital photography. I am new to it, and am enjoying it, though I keep my old camera with me and use it for some special purposes.

I love taking outdoor pictures of most everything. I have yet to do the leaves. But now I may do it this spring. Attached is a picture I took in Northern Minnesota last week on a foggy morning. Check it out. Thanks for the discussion. Nice photo by the way.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!

I have yet to take pictures of dry leaves. But, I think it should be very interesting too. So far, my attention lies on catching pictures of butterflies, moths and other insects.

Yes, even dry leaves are beautiful and we are very rich in dry leaves which we usually burn. Leaves of some medicinal plants are dried then sold or processed. We boil some dried medicinal leaves and drink the water which usually become brown like coffee. Sometimes dried tea leaves are preferred.

I just like taking pictures in nature, usually close-ups with a macro setting. Nature is so full of fascinating patterns and shapes and colors. I do like leaves, because of the many shapes and "textures" they have-- especially nice in autumn when there are so many different colors.
I'm afraid I don't have any pictures specifically of leaves, but here's one from the beach, this past autumn.
